HORWIN, Leading E-Moto and mobility innovator, launches ground-breaking product development programme and design partnership with one of the world’s top custom bike builders, Arjan van der Boom, at EICMA 2023.
The new rider-led design and development initiative, called Project Horizon, will bring together Europe’s riders and mobility innovators with HORWIN’s designers and engineers to explore, test, and develop breakthrough products.
To co-lead the charge, HORWIN has partnered with Arjan van der Boom, the founder of Ironwood Custom Motorcycles. Known for his custom café racers and vintage builds for celebrities, Arjan will team up with HORWIN and riders across Europe to bring his passion and expertise to develop new e-moto concepts and products as co-leader of Project Horizon. The first project to come out of Project Horizon will be a limited edition of HORWIN’s high-performance e-scooter, the SENMENTI 0.
First previewed at EICMA ’22 in prototype form and boasting EV category-defying performance specs, HORWIN has been refining the final SENMENTI 0 design and ramping up its production facilities in China. HORWIN announces the selling price for SENMENTI 0 from € 14.900,- excluding VAT and began taking pre-orders at EICMA 2023.
The custom-tuned addition of the SENMENTI 0 will start delivering in 2024. Europe’s riders will also have a chance to participate with Arjan on the custom SENMENTI 0, by joining the Project Horizon programme.
HORWIN’s Project Horizon marks the first time in the EV and e-moto category history for a company to openly engage the rider and mobility community in its product development.
Some of Project Horizon’s community activities will include:
- Curation of emerging E-Mobility technology and e-mobility supportresources like public charging facilities;
- Design and planning of local product and e-mobility events;
- Collaborative R&D of new product concepts and features;
- Collaborative pre-production design and prototype testing— drivenby member evaluation and review;
- Exclusive and/or early access to custom collaboration products andlimited editions.
Mr. Wendsor Zhou, Founder and CEO of Horwin Group explains: ‘ Project Horizon is a natural extension of our mission to accelerate society’s journey to a sustainable future – working together with the rider communities to improve two-wheeled mobility while reducing its impact on the environment.
Mr. Kevin Liu, Co-Founder & COO of HORWIN Group adds, “To create products for the sustainable future, we must defy the old, closed system of developing products in isolation of the riders and the communities that will benefit from them.” “We’re partnering with experts and riders like Arjan who bring a fresh perspective to products, and with mobility innovators to ensure that our work goes well beyond making better products to making the world around us better overall.”
