On November 20th, Beijing time, FELO, in collaboration with Smartech Motor, hosted a brand and product launch event at the W Hotel in Bangkok, announcing their official entry into the Thai electric two-wheeler market. Models such as M1, FW-03, F5, and FW-07 under the FELO brand were also officially introduced in Thailand.
The event was attended by Natthaphon Rangsitphon, Deputy Minister of Industry of Thailand; Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary-General of the Thailand Board of Investment; Zhang Jingyi, Founder and CEO of FELO Dianfei Technology; Zhang Haibo, President of Smartech Motor; Dr. Narong Sirilertworakul, Executive Vice President of Smartech Motor; Alessio Finello, rider number 72 of the Dianfei MotoE team, along with over 200 guests, dealers, and media representatives from various sectors of Thailand.
Natthaphon Rangsitphon, Deputy Minister of Industry of Thailand, spoke at the event.
Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary-General of the Thailand Board of Investment, also addressed the audience at the event.
During the launch, FELO, together with its partner Smartech Motor, introduced nine models under the FELO and RAPID brands in the Thai market. The FELO brand, known for its high-performance personalized electric motorcycles, introduced four models: M1, FW-03, F5, and FW-07. The RAPID brand showcased five models.
Smartech Motor, the Thai partner of FELO, is an emerging vehicle manufacturing company founded by Zhang Haibo, former General Manager of CP Group (Morris Garages) in Thailand. The company’s main business includes charging networks, new energy vehicles, and electric two-wheelers. Dr. Narong Sirilertworakul, former Director-General of the Thailand Science and Technology Development Agency, currently serves as the Executive Vice President of the company.
At the launch, Dr. Narong Sirilertworakul, Executive Vice President of Smartech Motor, introduced the FELO and RAPID brand products and announced the official prices and after-sales policies for each model in the Thai market.
The official price of M1 in Thailand is 59,000 Thai Baht. FW-03 is priced at 139,000 Thai Baht, and FW-07 at 179,000 Thai Baht.
Zhang Haibo, Founder and President of Smartech Motor, stated, “Our collaboration with FELO leverages their leading edge in technology R&D to develop and sell electric motorcycles that meet the diverse needs of Thai consumers. We are committed to becoming the innovators in Thailand’s future electric motorcycle industry. We have already signed contracts with 50 dealers and plan to expand our partnerships. Our target is to sell 15,000 electric motorcycles by 2024 and strive to become the leader in Thailand’s new energy motorcycle market within three years.”
Zhang Jingyi, speaking at the event, expressed, “I am delighted to initiate this comprehensive collaboration with Smartech Motor. Southeast Asia is one of the world’s largest motorcycle markets, and Thailand is the fastest-growing country in new energy development within the region. Thailand is an ideal market for us, considering its supportive policies, modification culture, and demand for high-speed, high-performance electric vehicles. Therefore, we have chosen Thailand as our first entry point into Southeast Asia, with plans to gradually expand into Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, and other countries.”
According to Zhang Jingyi, FELO will establish an R&D center in Thailand with Smartech Motor, serving both the FELO and RAPID brands. This center will design vehicle platforms and models more suited for Thai and Southeast Asian users. The introduction of models such as M1, FW-03, F5, FW-07, among the total of nine models, is just the first step. In the future, the higher-performance FELO FW-09 will also be produced on the Thai production line.
